What is the difference between fur and hair?

Hair is a defining characteristic of mammals. This means that all mammals have it (insects and plants have different forms of growth.) However, fur is the thicker body hair found upon many nonhuman mammals. This means that all fur is hair, but all hair is not fur.

What is a caecilian?

A caecilian is a type of amphibian. However, it has the appearance of a mix between an earthworm or a snake. They mostly live hidden underground. For that reason, these animals are widely unknown. However, many pet shops offer these creatures as exotic pets.

What are the methods of providing ID for a pet?

The most commonly recognized is pet tags. The most important information provide on these is a phone number. Another option is an insertable, scannable microchip. A third, lesser known option is the use of tattooing. This final option may be done while an animal is being neutered or spayed. Generally, these options are used for cats or dogs. However, plenty of other species can benefit from the practices as well.
